I am a qualified florist and graduate of a bachelor of Visual arts where I focused on ceramic making for three years with mentorship from teachers and lecturers that are renowned Australian ceramic artists.

In my ceramics, I like to explore vase design and make sculptural forms. My aim is to reimagine what a vase can look like.

After my more playful exploration of form, I turn to nature and look for a way to bring natural elements into my work. This is achieved by creating surfaces on my vases that are reminiscent of things found in nature. I make marbled clay vases that remind us of earth, stone and minerals. I also fire vases without glaze which reveals the raw clay bodies.

As a florist, I have worked in florist shops in Brisbane and Melbourne. The aesthetic of my floristry is naturalistic and I often used dried and found natural materials in my arrangements.
